Christmas Card 2013

As some of you may be aware, each year the Quadrant team puts together a Christmas card to thank our clients and suppliers for their continued support throughout the year, while often giving them a laugh at the same time. This year, we decided to do an 'Into the Jungle' theme with something that has proved quite topical in 2013, the infamous 'onesie'. Everyone was allocated an animal onesie that somewhat resembled their personality and the order was placed! The day of the shoot was a great success with many laughs had and a few photos archived for the history books. A big thank you goes to our photographer, Tony Scott and Art Director, Shane MacGregor for their hard work on the day. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as some of us enjoyed shooting them!

Melbourne Cup at Quadrant

Each year, Australia is captivated by the race that stops a nation and this was most certainly the case at Quadrant. Everyone enjoyed a delicious Melbourne Cup lunch prepared by our talented in house chefs before trying their luck in the office sweep. When the Emirates Melbourne Cup was over, the real fun began with the infamous Quadrant Cup. Each staff member has their own thoroughbred racehorse from the My Little Pony Stables that compete in this lucrative race. The race involves 2 dice and a lot of skill from the horses and their jockeys. After a nailbiting performance from a number of world-class stayers, Purple Rain came home with a big finish, snatching the title from under her competitors noses. As well as first place in the Quadrant Cup, Purple Rain's owner, Laura, also won the office sweep after hitting the jackpot with Fiorente. Needless to say, she went home a little richer that day. Despite not winning, everyone else thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and celebrated in true Melbourne Cup style.

GoldLinQ official launch

After a much anticipated build-up, the Gold Coast Light Rail system has been unveiled to the public in an official launch and will now be known as G:link, or more affectionately, the G:. Quadrant Creative is thrilled to announce their involvement in the revolutionary Light Rail project and have been working closely with GoldLinQ on every aspect of branding, marketing, signage and events over the course of the last year. The official launch took place on Friday September 20 and consisted of the unveiling of the first branded G:Link tram and a host of influential speakers shedding some light on the positive impact that the G:Link will have on the Gold Coast. Mayor Tom Tate was among the speakers, along with Queensland Transport Minister Scott Emerson, who believes the G: will be a Gold Coast icon and can't wait for it to be in action next June. The common theme of the day was urging people of the Gold Coast to get on board!

Capturing Eynesbury from all angles

Quadrant is always seeking out the latest technologies to ensure that we continue to achieve the highest quality work possible for our clients across all areas, so when it came to filming Melbourne Homestead Eynesbury, we managed to find the perfect tool.

We contacted a CASA certified aerial photography company, who used the Cinestar 8 UAV to make sure Eynesbury was showcased at its finest. This amazing machine requires 2 operators as it flies solo through the air with an attached camera that films from above. Using this equipment in combination with regular helicopter aerials, we were able to get shots from much more challenging angles that will make a real difference to our quality of AV for this Villa World project. With a combination of good Melbourne weather and skillful operators, the day was a great success and this stunning master planned town really shone through in the footage.

First Light, Casuarina selling fast!

Villa World Group’s latest development, First Light, Casuarina is already proving to be a massive success with 75% of stage one already sold. The newest family address comprises absolute beachfront homesites ranging from 715m2 to 950m2. Located at Casuarina Beach on the northern rivers of NSW, this beachfront land is very rare and offers the sought after modern coastal village lifestyle. It was Quadrant’s job to launch First Light to the public through a range of advertising mediums including TV, press ads, signage and print and judging by the success of stage one, these homesites are not going to be available for much longer!

Men of Business Family Fun Day Spin-athon

With Quadrant Creative CEO, Tony Scott being a co-founder of the Gold Coast MOB program, the agency has been a massive supporter since day 1 and continues to assist in raising awareness of the program in the community. Quadrant Creative members prepared their finest lycra pieces for the Family Fun Day Spin-athon held at the Oracle building in Broadbeach last Saturday, the 15th of June. Here, we battled it out with numerous other Gold Coast businesses on the bikes to raise money for this worthy cause. The day was not only great exposure for the program, but also an exciting event that everyone came and got involved in. There was plenty happening on the day with Sam and Jess and Richard and Amber from The Biggest Loser joining in the fun, along with a host of sporting stars. Overall, the day was a huge success, raising funds and awareness for this much needed program, and a lot of fun was had by all in the process!
