Quadrant goes Mad to celebrate Christmas in 2014

As some of you may know, each year we send out a Christmas card to everyone we’ve worked with throughout the year to wish them a merry Christmas and hopefully give them a laugh at the same time. This year, we decided to pay tribute to the hit TV show Mad Men, which is set in 1960’s New York and based around a group of advertising executives at an agency called Sterling Cooper. Don Draper and Roger Sterling exuded a ubiquitous charm and charisma that modern men aspire to, while Joan Harris and Peggy Olson proved that women could be just as influential as men both sexually and professionally in what had previously been considered a man’s world. Times may have changed, but the creativity remains.

From the team here at Quadrant, we wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Annual MOB lunch raises over $90,000

With our CEO Tony Scott being one of the founders behind the Men Of Business Program, we’ve had the privilege of watching the program go from strength to strength since its inception in 2012. Each year, a corporate lunch is held to raise money for the program and generate awareness and support.

This year, the lunch was held at Jupiters Casino and had more than 350 in attendance making it the biggest and most successful event yet. We were fortunate enough to have ex rugby league player and Gold Coast local, Mat Rogers as the guest speaker. Mat was engaging and inspirational as he told the story of overcoming his own personal struggles as a young man making him highly relatable for many of the boys in the program.

The event attracted overwhelming support and instilled a strong confidence in everyone involved. Over $90,000 was raised, which will go directly towards the purchase of a bus to transport the boys to and from the program, as well as now having the resources to double the current number of 8 week mentoring programs.

Redbank in Richmond receives overwhelming public response

Quadrant Creative has been working on Redbank, a prestige land estate in Richmond for the past 18 months and we are very happy to see the overwhelming public response the development is receiving.
Redbank held their VIP open weekend on October 18 & 19. This was specifically for those who had registered their interest on the website prior to the day. Numbers exceeded all expectations with 380 attendees eagerly awaiting their first preview of this stunning heritage listed site.

Destined to be North Richmond’s premier address - Redbank offers a life amid lush greenery at the foothills of National Parks. We wanted to convey the individuality of Redbank through the advertising and represent the site as a rare and spectacular piece of land where families could live a life of traditional comfort surrounded by captivating heritage-protected parklands.

So far, Quadrant have been involved in the production of the brochure, website, press ads, signage and sales display. We have no doubt that this stunning site will continue to exceed expectations in the coming months.

Creative Director Jim, takes out the NRL Tipping comp

With a career spanning 25 years at Quadrant Creative, Creative Director Jim, had yet to see his name on top of the leaderboard at the close of an NRL tipping competition, until now.

He may have turned the big 50 a few months ago but this cat is at the top of his game and appears to be getting more dangerous with age. Jim remained on top of the leaderboard throughout all 26 rounds, making the win just that little bit sweeter. This NRL tipping win was complemented by also winning the golf trip of a lifetime to Japan, which he and his team won at his golf club, Lakelands.

Congratulations to Jim on a massive year so far, let’s see if he can back up his successes in 2015!

Fresh talent advance their knowledge at Quadrant

Our Art Director Shane during question time with the students from GCIT

Quadrant Creative has always valued our relationships with various education facilities and thoroughly enjoy assisting students looking to enter the industry in any way we can. We have recently had the pleasure of working with some interns from Bond University and University of the Sunshine Coast, as well as some visits from different design colleges.

Our interns had varying skill sets that they could utilise and build on in their time here under the guidance of our Art Director and Creative Director. A mixture of briefs involving copy, layout and design aspects were undertaken and impressive final portfolios were completed for their studies.

We have also recently enjoyed visits from the design students at GCIT Coomera and Designworks Burleigh. GCIT Coomera bring their students here annually to take a tour of the building and better understand the workings of an advertising agency on a daily basis. Our production manager is quite the storyteller and does a great job of informing the students of what goes on behind-the-scenes.

Quadrant gets first taste of the G: before the much anticipated public launch on July 20

Tony with Jason from Goldlinq experiencing the tram for the first time

After 4 years in the making, the Gold Coast Light rail is gearing up for it’s public launch on July 20 and our CEO, Tony Scott, was one of the lucky few to experience a ride in the lead up to the event. Naturally, we were all eager to hear about the experience in detail! Tony informed us the ride was “smooth, fast and overall, fantastic.” He said the feeling of physically being on the tram was great after years of watching it come to life, to get to this point is just amazing.

Quadrant was very pleased to hear that there’s been plenty of positive feedback regarding the marketing and advertising of the G:link system and excitement levels are running high to see the G: making it’s way around the city in full force.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to ride the G: FOR FREE, head to a station on July 20 and experience your first taste of the tram free of charge.

Rhapsody, Surfers North has arrived

Quadrant Creative is delighted to announce our role as the advertising agency of the captivating new Surfers Paradise high-rise apartment building, Rhapsody, Surfers North. We have been working on the creative theming with esteemed developer, Ho Bee Land Limited, since last year. The 41-storey high-rise building will be the first significant new residential high-rise built in the city since the GFC and marks a positive turning point for real estate on the Gold Coast.

Rhapsody is located on the path of the G:link light rail route, which inspired our creative team to base the creative collateral around the concept of connection and fluidity in our ever-expanding city. Talented Australian composer, Brian Beamish, created a piece of music specifically for Rhapsody, which aims to capture the unmistakable energy of the vibrant city hub. This was partnered with the simple yet effective slogan, ‘feel it’. A local Brisbane model was selected to play music on a violin surrounded by a whimsical smoke effect intended to evoke feelings of excitement, strong energy and the unknown. This concept has been the basis and main theme of our whole campaign and will continue to act as the driving force behind the creative collateral.
